About This Quote

Whenever I was pregnant, my mom would always say, “Blessed your mum, who carried you in a womb for nine months.” Now, I know that my mother meant it with all of her heart. I know that she was speaking to me about how blessed I was for being able to give birth to our child. However, what she didn't realize is that the words she was speaking gave me more than just blessed; they gave me strength. Whenever she said those words to me, it reminded me that even though I couldn’t do anything to help my body create our child, I could do something to help it deliver him or her safely into this world.
